Prabhakaran's career is one of the most unusual in Indian consulting — and that is exactly what makes him effective.
He began as a Combatant in the Indian Air Force, where over 18 years he progressed from operational roles to supervisory leadership, developed early computerisation systems using Lotus 1-2-3 and dBase, and served as Secretary to the Air Officer in Charge of Administration at Air Headquarters. The Air Force gave him something most consultants never get: the ability to build systems that hold under pressure.
After his military career, he spent over 12 years at Matrimony.com, where he led the Pan-India retail expansion of Bharat Matrimony — establishing 200+ outlets across 100+ locations and running a nationwide field force of 220 associates across 115 cities. He simultaneously led automation of field operations and drove revenue growth through technology-enabled service delivery.
He then pivoted to startups — scaling a resume writing business 2X in volume and revenue within 10 months, and subsequently serving as AVP Operations at Niyama Digital Healthcare (ZILOY), where he leads strategy, care administration, HR, and technology alignment for a scaling digital health platform.
He holds an MBA in Human Resources from IMS Noida and a second MBA in e-Business from Annamalai University.

He built his career in high-performance retail and brand environments. At Reliance Brands (Diesel), he was recognised as Retail Dream Team Runner-Up in 2019 and achieved a Perfect 10 in Mystery Audit — a 100/100 score for operational and service excellence. He built a strong South Indian clientele spanning Kerala, Coimbatore, Madurai, and Tirupur.
He then took on full P&L ownership at Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail across a 2.5-year tenure — managing revenue delivery, team leadership, inventory, and commercial performance. At The Souled Store, he led the Chennai market entry at Express Avenue, establishing SOPs, building a launch team, and positioning the brand as a youth-focused experience hub.
He then completed his MBA in Marketing and Digital Strategy from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, and moved into corporate B2B — joining DocOnline as Business Development Manager, where he owns end-to-end pipeline generation, CXO-level stakeholder engagement, and strategic wellness partnerships.
His undergraduate degree is from FDDI Business School — an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
